As you are aware, there will be a rerun of the Local 951 Officers Election. It is in the best interest of Local 951’s membership that you agree to an election rather than spend hundreds of thousands of dollars of the members’ money trying to uphold an illegal election.

Many of your staff members, as well as executive board members, have contacted me regarding their endorsement for the holding of a fair rerun election. They have also indicated their support for my candidacy. They did voice concern that you will, in customary fashion; attempt to retaliate against them because of the exercise of their rights protected by federal law.

If any retaliatory action is taken against any of your staff, executive board members or Local 951 members for that matter, for their support of my candidacy, I will ensure that relief is sought in the appropriate legal forum.

On another note, I cannot express strongly enough the adverse reaction voiced from the members to your agreement with Meijer regarding the health insurance changes that you have promoted. It is clear that the changes are not in the best interest of the members. Your attempts to fool them with misleading propaganda will ultimately fail. Your position regarding the health insurance changes is unconscionable. The members will remember your betrayal of their rights at election time. You can rest assured that I, along with my supports, will ensure that your record of greed and false leadership are fully exposed to the members at large.
